Make the most of the friends you have, you never realise what you've got until it's gone...

Hey, sorry I haven't updated for ages. I've been so busy but hopefully I'll get back on track soon. One of the things I've been doing is what this whole blog post is about.
So, this Wednesday to Friday my school year group went on a residential trip to Lakeside and I was completely dreading it. It was a trip where we had to bond with everyone in the year so we were all put into groups with people we barely talk to. Luckily at night we were in rooms with our friends. However, as the trip went on it got more and more fun. We all achieved personal goals and some people faced fears.
Most of the year groups bedroom groups were in the main building but the remaining 3 groups were in 2 lodges. 1 lodge had all the 'populars' in it and the other had most of our form. My form has 13 people in it but 2 of them don't really hang out with the rest of us, but the remaining 11 of us are extremely close. Our lodge had 3 rooms in it 1 for the teacher, 1 for 8 of them and the other for the remaining 3. The first night we stuck to this but the second we didn't. So after the campfire on the Thursday evening we all went into the bigger room downstairs where the group of 8 were. Before I go into the whole night I'm not putting anyone's names on here however on the bus journey back we gave everyone nicknames so I'm just going to use them. (I'll just say what they are first; we have The Artist, The Mummy (like an maternal one not a one wrapped up in a coffin), The Smart Cookie, The DJ, The Comedian, The Motivational Speaker, The Party Organiser, The Vlogger, The Dancer and The Harmoniser oh and btw I'm apparently The Big Sister because The Vlogger said I was just there, long story). So, the group of three (me, the mummy and the motivational speaker) all went down to the other room with everyone else in. Now The Vlogger had basically vlogged most of the trip (hence the name) so we all sat on the bottom bunk of one of the beds and watched all of the videos so far. Once we did that we all got a bit emotional as we realised it would be the last time we would be this close as a form.
After that we all shared different bunks as there weren't enough for all of us (because 3 of us were in the wrong room). We all played truth or dare for the rest of the night really but the longer it went on the more truthful we were with each other.  Some of us probably said things that we've never told anyone before, I know I did. We agreed that even if we didn't have much sleep it would be worth it, most of us stayed up until 2am taking. Eventually we did sleep and we were all tired in the morning but all of it was definitely worth it.
These are the first real friends I've ever had and I feel really lucky. Lakeside was so fun and amazing, and I now feel closer to my friends than ever.

Our Group Photo - love this lot xx
